WTI strongly recommends applying to universities that do not charge an application fee. We have agreements in place for application fee waivers with some universities, but this is not universal. Please email postgraduate@windle.org.uk to check if we can support an application fee waiver. Under no circumstances will WTI ever pay university application fees.

Can you help me with my CSC application?

At Windle Trust International we have many years of experience in supporting students with scholarship applications. We have used this to produce tailored guidance for Windle-eligible applicants to the CSC that speaks to both the needs of the CSC application, and the lived-experiences of Windle scholars.

This includes question-by-question guidance, as well as examples, and general tips.

Access the full Windle-CSC Application Guidance Here

This will require you to create a separate account on the Windle website, but is available for free to all Windle candidates.

You are strongly encouraged to follow the guidance extremely closely. Our experience of scholarship applications is that students who follow the guidance for every question are more than 5 times more likely to be successful in their scholarship applications.

What do you need to do?

Complete and submit the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission application form, available here. The CSC application portal will be open from September 10th 2024 to October 15th 2024.

Complete and submit the WTI application form available here (for Kenya residents), or here (for Uganda residents). The WTI application portal will be open from September 15th 2024 to October 15th 2024.

Before submitting your applications, please read the eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria are applied strictly and without exception.

Please note that short listing for selection in no way guarantees a scholarship will be awarded.

What happens next?

If shortlisted for selection, you will be required to attend an interview with our partners in your home country. Interviews are scheduled to be held from the 17th to 23rd November 2024.

If you have not heard from us by 11th November 2024, please assume that your application was unsuccessful.

Due to various factors it is extremely unlikely that interviews are able to be held at alternatives to the date, time, and venue offered for reasons other than accessibility and inclusion, and candidates are expected to make themselves available.

If shortlisted for nomination, you will be advised to submit applications to universities when their application windows are open.

Final scholarship decisions are made by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission, with announcements expected in July 2025

We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and non-discrimination and encourage applications from a diverse range of candidates specifically including women, refugees, minorities, candidates with a disability and candidates otherwise affected by conflict.
